
Brian Acker, CIM President & CEO Chief Investment Strategist
As Chief Investment Strategist, Brian Acker spearheads the recommendations of currencies, asset allocation and equity selection for Acker Finley Inc's. ("Acker Finley") clients. Brian is a past board member of the Ontario District Council of the Investment Industry Regulatory Organization of Canada (IIROC) for a two-year term. Brian's was formerly Vice President of Wood Gundy Inc. and, prior to that, was an instrumental member of the Clarkson Gordon (Ernst & Young) group in Toronto.

Brenda Tilley, CFP, CIM, FMA, FCSI, Vice-President, Private Clients
Before joining Acker Finley in 1993, Brenda Tilley was on the management team of TD Bank's Correspondent Services, serving both retail and institutional clients. Brenda is a fully licensed investment advisor and a certified financial planner. She heads Acker Finley's client services, marketing and information systems. Brenda also provides excellent advice to a group of Acker Finley's clients.
Enrico Sgromo, MA, Vice-President, Research
Under Enrico’s supervision, Acker Finley has developed a unique and rigorous approach to security analysis. His theoretical and empirical research is the basis for our QSA™ strategies. Enrico is also responsible for the firm's asset allocation model and contributes to Acker Finley's regular market commentaries.
Prior to joining Acker Finley in 1996, Enrico was Vice President of Research for Strategic Analysis Corporation. He has co-authored research papers published in professional journals.
Lorie Sano, Vice-President
Lorie launched the Acker Finley institutional trading desk in 1998. Prior to that, her career spanned 12 years at TD Waterhouse where she gained an extensive trading background. From 1988 to 1993, Lorie was a TD Waterhouse equity and options trader on the floor of the Toronto Stock Exchange. She then worked on the TD Waterhouse retail bond desk from 1993 to 1997. The remainder of her time at TD Waterhouse was spent trading for the institutional equity desk. Lorie manages all of Acker Finley’s institutional clients.
